NEWS

February is Dental Health Month!

Did you know that 85% of dogs and cats over 4 years of age are affected by dental disease?  Symptoms of dental disease include bad breath, difficulty in chewing, dropping food, cough, and pain on touching the muzzle area.  Fortunately, this common problem can be treated.

During the physical examination, our veterinarians can evaluate the condition of your pet's oral cavity.  The Comprehensive Oral Health And Treatment Plan (COHAT) is a medical procedure that includes evaluation of the teeth and gums, cleaning and polishing of the teeth, removal of abscessed or broken teeth, and the implementation of a home-care plan to help keep your pet's teeth and gums healthy.

During the month of February, save 10% on all COHAT procedures.  Call us to schedule an appointment for an evaluation of your pet's teeth.

Vet-Stem Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cell therapy is a new modality to treat chronic arthritis in dogs.  In this procedure a tissue sample is collected from the affected dog and stem cells are harvested.  The resultant sample is then injected into the arthritic joint.  Stem cells have the ability to heal damaged tissues and relieve pain.  Dr. Monti has passed the credentialing course and is currently accepting patients for the procedure.  For more information check www.vet-stem.com or call Dr. Monti.
